StatementMy interest is the intersection of animation with body and space. On one level, my solo and collaborative (Cloud Eye Control) works are fantastical, magical, and whimsical performance pieces that are highly visual, cinematic, and immersive. On another level, the work addresses the intersection of cinema, theatre, performance, and art, actively playing with the language and conventions of these mediums by merging and diverging scale, time, body, physical and non-physical space and events, cinematography, and staging. Through the combining of animation and real objects, the fantastical becomes real and the real becomes fantastical.
